Today’s Lunch April 8, 2020 During 24 Hours Curfew On Tortola British Virgin Islands – 😷 COVID-19 | Sharing My Craving To Eat Something Sweet

Today’s lunch:  Stewed local fish – haines, cornmeal dumplings and boiled potato!

So a few evenings ago I had a craving to eat something sweet.  I made a chocolate cake a few weeks ago so I decided against that this time.  

My daughter recommended pancakes but my husband doesn’t like pancakes.  Then I thought about making some oatmeal cookies so I watched some YouTube videos to get the recipe but I realized that you had to use a large amount of butter. So I eventually decided against that too.

I was then inspired to make a oatmeal and banana drink.  I have a few ripe bananas in my freezer.  So I did just that.  In my blender I added 2 of the ripe frozen bananas, 2 tablespoons oatmeal, 3 splashes of Angostura bitters, a few drops of cinnamon and blended that up.  

The banana is the sweetener for the drink but since I had a craving for something sweet I added some sugar.  Perfect!!

April 9, 2020:  I just got an idea, maybe next time I could make some french toast!
