How To Make Conch Fritters

how to make conch fritters
I love conch fritters, each time I go to a restaurant, I order conch fritters but I never get enough.  Usually I would get 5-7 conch fritters with my order.  In this blog post, I demonstrate how to make conch fritters.

Ingredients
1 can of baby conch or about 3 cups of conch finely chopped 1 tablespoon of baking powder 1/2 red sweet pepper finely chopped 1 egg 1/2 onion finely 1 stick of green onion aka chive finely chopped 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt 3 pimentos (seasoning pepper) finely chopped 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup water

Method
In a mixing bowl, transfer all the ingredients (with the exception of the baking powder, egg and flour) and mix together. Put the ingredients into a blender with 1/2 cup of water and pulse for a semi smoother consistency. Transfer back into a mixing bowl.

Add baking powder, egg and mix together. Gradually add flour and mix together. Put a pot on the stove with a generous amount of oil. Allow the oil to hot. Put a teaspoon of the mixture into the pot with the hot oil. Continue this process until there is no more space in the pot. Allow each conch fritters to get golden brown all around, then remove from the pot and place on a plate lined with paper towel.

Repeat until all the mixture is used up.
