How To Make A Trinidad Macaroni Pie – Two Ways

Trinidad Macaroni Pie

Ingredients

1/2 pack long macaroni
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
cheese
garlic powder
onion powder
salt to taste
black pepper
bread crumbs

Method
Break the long macaroni in half and place in a pot of water and allow the water to boil and macaroni to get limber and cooked.

You will notice that I did not add any salt to the water when cooking the macaroni.  My take on that is that different seasonings will be added, maybe salt.  Some cheeses have a bit of salt therefore I choose not to add any extra salt.  Some people even add a salted butter. I stay away from that also.
In a measuring cup, add the milk, egg and seasoning of your choice.  Whisk together well.  Put a layer of the macaroni into a greased baking dish.  Put a layer of cheese over the macaroni.  Repeat the process until all the macaroni is used up.
Put some butter around the edge of the baking dish as seen in the photo below and add a layer of bread crumbs.  Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit /177 degrees Celsius

Baking time 25-25 minutes.  Enjoy!!

  1. Hey, honestly your site is coming along :-), but I had a question – it’s a bit slow. Have you thought about using a different host like propel? It’d help your visitors stick around longer = more profit long term anyway. There’s a decent review on it by this guy who uses gtmetrix to test different hosting providers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6s0ciJI4W4 and the whole video has a bunch of gold in it, worth checking out.
