Brown Stew Turkey Wings Recipe

I enjoy turkey meat occasionally and today I share with you this delicious turkey wings recipe – how to make a brown stew turkey wings.  The great thing about turkey meat is that they are inexpensive and the meat is lean.

Ingredients
2 pounds turkey wings
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup parsley finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
1 tablespoon ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Method

Remove the turkey wings from its packaging, wash thoroughly and place into a mixing bowl.  Season with the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, parsley, tomato ketchup and tomato.  Mix all these ingredients together. Allow the seasoned turkey wings to marinate for about 1-2 hours.
You can also add some finely chopped culantro aka shado beni leaves and some pepper sauce.
Put a pressure cooker on the stove and allow it to hot.  Add two tablespoons brown sugar.  Allow the sugar to melt and caramelize (watch the video below for step by step instructions). Add the seasoned turkey wings to the caramelized brown sugar and mix together well – until the meat is totally coated with the caramelized sugar.
Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.  Add a generous amount of water to the pressure pot and cover.  Allow the turkey wings to get nice and tender. This should take about 20 minutes.
After that time as passed, remove the cover of the pressure cooker, check the tenderness of the turkey wings.  If they are tender enough to your liking, you might want to allow the excess water to dry down – leaving enough for if you like a little gravy.  Taste and add salt if necessary.  I know you will enjoy this turkey wings recipe.
