How To Make Ground Nut Cake

1 cup water
2 cups unsalted peanuts
1 cinnamon stick
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon grated ginger

Put a sauce pan on the stove, set heat to medium low.  Pour in all the ingredients with the exception of the peanuts.  My recommended tool for this step is a wooden spoon.  Use this wooden spoon to stir the ingredients constantly.  As the mixture begins to boil, add the peanuts.  Keep on stirring. 

The mixture will eventually thicken. Remove the cinnamon stick and turn off the stove.  Immediately take a wooden spoonful of the mixture and place on a tray lined with banana leave or parchment paper.  Repeat this step until all the mixture in the pot is used.

The heaps of peanut mixture dries and get firm very quickly and stick together in a heap.  Store in airtight containers.

Wash the sauce pan right away.
